The man of the hour
Hey folks. I’m a little busy these days and therefore I haven’t been able to add many posts or add much commentary. However, in the next day or so I will be ridding myself of many responsibilities and will be posting a lot of new stuff. In fact, the things I plan to post in the next few days are epic……so please bear (bare?) with me through these busy times, and in less than 2 days you will be rewarded with some very well thought out and (hopefully) hilarious and/or interesting posts.

Well, thats a bit of an exaggeration (turns out I spelled that correctly without having to spellcheck it). If you haven’t heard, two satellites crashed in mid-orbit the other day in Texas, and one came shooting towards the the earth. Of course, it was caught on camera.
But that’s not what’s interesting. After seeing said video, I started searching for asteroid stuff and the following is what I found.
This first one is a simulation of what would happen to earth if a massive asteroid hit. It makes me feel weird for some reason…maybe it’s the music or maybe it’s the fact that we would be completly helpess. I dunno. Judge for yourself.
**On a side note, I finally found a way to embed HD clips on this page, but it takes a little longer to load. So if you have an opinion on this, let me know in the comments section. If you don’t like the increased load time, I will just post the normal video and link to the HD version. But this video is so good it needs to be seen in HD. By the way, the proper pronounciation is “Haytch-Dee”.**
Asteroid Hits Earth
Next, while not as epic as the previous, this next video is still pretty cool. It shows the size of earth relative to other celestial bodies (yup, spelled that one on my own too!).
Finally, in my continuing efforts to maintain the loquacity of this post, I will now share the following clip which maintains the sequential order of the videos: First it was earth, then it was our solar system, now it’s the milky way. Enjoy it, space travellers!

Years ago I discovered this guy on Youtube reenacting a scene from Star Trek: First Contact. At first I thought he was just a nerd, but after watching more of his videos I discovered he actually has a lot of talent. So, I started to subscribe to his videos. He acts out well known scenes and plays every character in the scene…..sometimes it’s funny (like the Star Trek one), and other times you just think, “Wow, he does really good impressions”.
Over the years he’s put out a lot of videos, eventually gaining the attention of Jimmy Kimmel, who subsequently got him to reenact 5 scenes (by request) over 5 episodes of his show. That’s crazy! At the time, he was a clerk in a grocery store. Now, he just finished a movie with William H. Macy. Not bad! And it’s all thanks to YouTube.

Ouch! I remember when I got my toungue pierced and it hurt like hell! I can’t imagine how bad this would feel……well, actually, I can imagine because they take way more flesh out of your body when you get your toungue pierced than your nipple. Although nipples are pretty sensitive. Anyways, enjoy this horrible video of someone going through pain.
